Gourry is a 20-years-old boy with long gold hair, much higher than Rina (I think is the highest ). He always wear a blue armor and he never get separated from his beloved sword of light (hikari no ken or gorunoba) a legendary weapon that belongs to his family from generations. He doesn't have any magical powers, but his ability of skilled swordsman supplies this lack. He would be a perfect boy (strong, beautiful, charming) if he were not... so stupid!!!! -)
He's always the last to understand things, Rina is forced to repeat everything 100 times without any result. But, even when he does not understand the big picture he blindly trusts Rina and he follows her everywhere she goes (KEY PHRASE : if Rina says that,it's good enough for me...)
It can be said that he and Rina are just the opposites: he's high and she's short, he's dumb and she's sly , he seems a woman 'coz of his hair (remember how many times he cross dresses? ) and she's a tomboy . For the series "the opposites attract" theirs is one of the most supported couple also because: they are "together" from the first episode; Gourry defines himself his guardian; and at the end of Sl Next the two kiss , but then they forget all :-((
